Let’s take it back. Wayyy back…

Your ABoR membership is going up by $50 a year, starting today.

This is our first increase since 1974, when Barbara Streisand topped the charts, appliances were avocado green, and the Austin median home price was $16,500.

A lot has changed since then, and today, we’re taking action to secure the long-term future of our community.

Since August, we’ve been celebrating how much our Association and our city have grown and changed in 45 years with new member benefits and resources, like Free CE License Renewal, ThinkUp 2020, important advocacy toolkits, and more.

Thank you for coming on this journey with us. Now, let’s go get ready for a new year and a new decade. Are you ready to #BeAMember?

We’ve Got Answers

What’s changing?
On August 7, the ABoR Board of Directors approved a membership restructure that includes a $50 increase to ABoR’s annual membership. Starting November 15, 2019, your ABoR membership access will be $175 per year.

Why is ABoR raising its membership fees now?
Level pricing for 45 years is no longer sustainable. ABoR had 2,500 members in 1974, and now we have nearly 13,000+ members. It’s time to take action. We must increase our membership access now to ensure our long-term sustainability.

How will ABoR members benefit from the increase?
ABoR is building for the future. We’ll be the engine of your success, and that means covering your essentials so you can get back to business. We’re also bringing transparency to our fee structure so you always know what you’re paying for. Check out some of our stellar member benefits above.

What does my ABoR membership pay for?
Your $175 ABoR membership directly funds a full suite of benefits that enhance the well being of your business, your career, your clients, and your life: over $11,000 worth, in fact! Don’t believe us? Read the fine print here.

Are you going to increase membership access again?
We don’t believe that increasing your membership year after year is a good way to do business. We would rather be transparent and straightforward with you and raise our membership access to where it needs to be today so we can continue to serve you how you need to be served.
